Payment processing is 2.9% + $0.30 at every tier, on the total the buyer paid: the item price, shipping and tax.
Whatnot's high-value article, updated October 13, 2026, still charges 0% commission on the part of a single order above $1,500 in Comics & Anime, Toys & Hobbies, Coins & Money, Trading Card Games, Entertainment Cards, Sports Singles (not breaks or Surprise Products), Bags & Accessories and Jewelry & Watches, and calls it a limited-time promotion. Its fee page no longer mentions it. The calculator applies your tier's rate to the first $1,500 when you choose it, because Whatnot charges the lower applicable rate when a promotion overlaps your earned rate.

- Show Promotion and Boost fees, whose rates Whatnot does not publish on its fee page.
- Which of your Whatnot categories falls in each row of the rate card. The fee page names six groups (Sports, TCG, Fashion, Other Collectibles, Coins and Other) but not what each contains; Seller Hub shows your rate.
- Your tier. Whatnot sets it from your total sales in the previous four-week period, across all categories, and shows it in Seller Hub.
- The Premier Shop discount, 10% off your commission rate through October 31, 2026, and promotional rates such as new-seller 0% fees, which Whatnot says override your tier rate while they run.
- Custom rates as low as 3% for Whatnot's highest-volume sellers, and rate cards outside the US, which are set per market.
