Cash App fee calculator
What Cash App's published US fees take from a deposit or a payment, who pays each one, and what is free. Where Cash App publishes only a range, the answer is the range, not a guess inside it.
Instant deposit to a linked account or debit card of $100.00: Cash App’s published fee is $0.50 to $2.50, and $97.50 to $99.50 reaches you.
- Instant deposit fee, low end: 0.5% × $100.00 = $0.50, rounded to the cent with banker's rounding: $0.50
- Instant deposit fee, high end: 2.5% × $100.00 = $2.50, rounded to the cent with banker's rounding: $2.50
What decided this: Cash App's terms publish 0.5% to 2.5% with a minimum of $0.25 to $1 and a $75 maximum, taken from the deposit, and the app shows the exact fee before you confirm. Enter the rate it shows to use it; the minimum still follows the published range. A standard deposit is free.

Where the numbers come from
- Rates
- Cash App terms of service, account opening disclosures and fees; Cash App help: Cash App for Business fees; Cash App help: cash out speed options; Cash App: send money, read 2026-09-14.
- Checked
- The wording of each rate is re-read from Cash App's pages before publishing, and the arithmetic is run against 9 worked cases, in this page's own script and again in the build.
- Rounding
- Cash App's own terms state banker's rounding on percentage fees (C1). A credit card fee of 3% on $1.50 is $0.045 and rounds to $0.04, not $0.05.

What this does not decide
- The exact instant deposit rate inside the 0.5% to 2.5% range, which Cash App shows in the app before you confirm and does not publish a rule for.
- Adding money to your balance from a credit card (3%), where Cash App does not say whether the fee comes out of the amount added.
- ATM, paper money and foreign transaction fees, and chargebacks on a business account.
